8gal would be fine, even 12gal will be ok, but a lot of guys with EDCs like to gang tanks together to get as much volume as possible, and i dont recommend that with sandens.

Hey guys found a sanden at the junk yard yesterday. :attn: Just wonderin if anyone had any pics of one on a Chevy small block? My upper radiator hose is in the way now so I am thinking I will have to get another one to go around the comp somehow. Any help is appreciated thanks.

Re: Sanden 508 as Onboard Air compressor?

i just picked up a truck thats running a 508 an in-line oiler.the oiler has nothing mounted on the intake side and is spitting oil. Is the oiler necessary? It looks ugly in the engine bay.
Any help would be appreciated :D

Oilers not necc, just keep the reservoir at a good level and youre good. Im not sure on the rotation, Id like to think they are only made to go one way because the ports are 2 diff sizes. Also they are always ribbed pullies which means they spin the same direction as the engine, to get them to spin in reverse youd need a smooth pulley and they dont offer enough friction.
