Re: Towing question

Fullsize would always be better but a Trailblazer will do the job. I know guys that have pulled S10s with 4 door Blazers across country and back, and a Trailblazer is a little bigger with a better engine. I'd get a trailer with brakes on it, and maybe a weight distributing hitch if you go with the smaller truck.

Re: Towing question

Looks up the towing capacity of the truck with whichever engine comes in it.

A typical open trailer weighs 2000lbs, and a typical 20ft enclosed weighs 3000lbs, and an s-10 weight like 32-3700lbs maybe? So add together the weights, and if it is within the towing capacity then your good to go.

Re: Towing question

Trailblazers are a bit on the small side. Add to that they have a coil spring rear suspension and youre pretty much asking for some handling and weight issues. Just because the vehicle has a rated capacity it can pull, doesnt mean it will handle the weight pushing it around or even stop it.
