on the mazda 4x4 - extended cab-- from doors towards the front is all inner changable , most interior is inner changable as well .. from doors forward including dash , seats ,sunvisors, windshield, pilers.. the motor is also inner changeable with the b2000, b2200 only difference is you have to put the 2wd trans on it i believe , and swap the computer over . and some the engine harness.

drive shafts are different as well on 2wd short and long beds . Long beds are 2 pc while short bed is a 1 pc.

Re: Swapping parts on a Mazda B2200

I found this nice article on MinitruckinWeb.com about flaring the 2wd bedsides:
http://www.minitruckinweb.com/tech/body ... index.html

We might lean towards using the 4x4 fenders in the front, and keep her 2wd bed and flare out the sides so they don't rub. We will do that unless we can find someone with a std. cab 4x4 bed to swap for our ext cab 4x4 bed.

The only parts we really need from the 4x4 parts truck is the front fenders, bucket seats, and bed (which may not end up happening). Other than swapping those parts, and fixing the frame on that truck, it can be resold.

Thanks for the info on what is interchangeable between the models.

What about grafting the fenders from the 4X4 to the 2wd bed. Cut out bed around the flares and weld them in. Take alot of work and time and alot of measuring but prob doable. If you get rid of the 4x4 let me know my boy jeremy is looking for a 4x4 mazda to do his. He's got an ex cab. Me n him are starting that when weather breaks.

Yeah that is definitely always an option too. Like you said... a lot of work though.

I'll let you know what we end up doing with the 4x4 truck.

Re: Swapping parts on a Mazda B2200

Been a while since I've been on here. Just started a project thread for the 88' B2200.
viewtopic.php?f=23&t=26372
Ended up not needing any of the sheetmetal from the 4x4, and I'm just going to flare the bedsides of the 2wd bed so they don't rub.

Ended up repairing the cracked frame on the 90' B2600i 4x4, giving it a tune up, replacing a few parts, got some 31" tires, and used bed liner on the bottom half. It's been my reliable winter driver / hauler. Made plenty of trips to Home Depot to get supplies for the house and I use it every time it snows. Had it camping a few times as well. The only parts we ended up using from it were the bucket seats, and put the bench from the B2200 in here.
