why are you running super through your stock 4.3 if you don't mind me asking?

Guess it depends on the situation. Most show rides will not support more than 2 people and even then they dont have room for bags or stuff.

HA tell me about.

the whole towing this sucks anyway IMO of course... since I know this issue has been beat to hell before on here

I still in the end cant understand why we have these things just to drag them around behind a full reliable, driveable tow vehicle.
C10 will be done NEVER!!!? show season be on the look out!!!! SOLD!!!!!!!

hell, most of the fun with the truck is rolling an inch off the ground doing 65 miles an hour wondering if that bridge coming up is going to be smooth, haha.

If you didn't build it with your own two hands, its not really yours.

If its on the trailer i dont see the need for a chip. At this point with gas i think id be takin the chip off and rollin just that to shows....

Whenever i get my truck back im going to be towing it. Ive towed my wifes 66 mustang around before and i dont think my truck does bad. Considering what it is. A 2000 f-350 with the 7.3. I get between 5-600 miles per tank for me. Thats good enough for me. Ill enjoy trailering my truck too cause i got a enclosed trailer and when i get to a show no matter the weather my truck will be clean!!!
Its not hard to have the badest ranger out there. Just ask me how!!!!!!!!!

Re: cheaper to tow? i think it really is..

My GMC show truck is plenty reliable enough to drive any where I want to, but it has no room. I hate having to through stuff in the bed, black paint is a pain in the ass to keep looking good and doing a spray in bedliner isnt a choice for me, it'd take away from the metal work. Its just more comfortable to put it on a trailer and tow it. I can spill my pop or whatever in the tow pig and it doesnt bother me no where near as bad as it does in the GMC.

Is it cheaper to tow the GMC in my case? nope. The GMC gets 20 mpg on the hwy easily, most of the times better. The tow pig Suburban gets 13 mpg towing out on the hwy and when I've used dad's duramax, it got 16 mpg towing. I just figure that its worth it to be more comfortable, have more room to throw shit, and to know that if another minitrucker is broke down on the side of the road that I can unload the GMC, put their truck on the trailer and head on to the show or back home or where ever.
